Russian massive drone attack causes widespread damage in Bila Tserkva PHOTO
The Ukrainian city of Bila Tserkva, south of Kyiv, came under heavy drone attack overnight as Russian forces launched waves of Iranian-made Shahed drones from both the north and south, local officials said on September 2.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), one person was killed in the strikes, which ignited large fires and caused extensive destruction across the city. A three-story industrial building and several hangars were destroyed, while additional fires broke out in residential areas, affecting three buildings and private garages, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
Emergency crews worked through the night to contain the blazes, which were fully extinguished by 7:30 a.m. local time. Authorities warned residents that lingering smoke could affect air quality, urging them to keep windows closed.
The attack marked the second consecutive night that Bila Tserkva has been targeted.
