Russian forces launched a missile strike on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine's southern Odesa region, sparking a major fire at a food storage warehouse and injuring two people, regional authorities said.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kipper, said the attack targeted a civilian infrastructure facility in the region, Caliber.Az reports.
The missile strike ignited a fire in a warehouse used to store food products. The blaze spread to adjacent storage facilities before emergency crews brought it under control.
Two people were injured in the attack and are receiving medical treatment, authorities said. No further details about their condition were immediately available.
Emergency responders extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading further, minimising additional damage to the surrounding area.
