Russian MoD: Over 21,000 Ukrainian troops killed or wounded in Kursk since start of war
The total casualties of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the Kursk region have surpassed 21,000 personnel killed and wounded since the onset of hostilities, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry details that throughout the conflict in the Kursk area, the AFU has lost more than 21,000 soldiers, Caliber.Az reports, referring to foreign media sources.
The number of military hardware that the Ukrainian army lost on the battlefield is as follows:
- 136 tanks
- 66 infantry fighting vehicles
- 98 armored personnel carriers
- 888 armoured combat vehicles
- 586 trucks
- 173 artillery pieces
- 33 launchers for multiple launch rocket systems, including 8 HIMARS and 6 U.S.-made MLRS
- 9 anti-aircraft missile system launchers
- 5 transport-loading vehicles
- 45 electronic warfare stations
- 9 counter-battery radar systems
- 3 air defense radar systems
- 22 units of engineering and other equipment, including 13 demining vehicles, a UR-77 mine-clearing installation, and 3 armoured repair and evacuation vehicles.
Additionally, the Ministry of Defense reported that in the last 24 hours alone, AFU losses exceeded 150 personnel, with 3 armoured combat vehicles, 2 artillery pieces, 4 mortars, and 2 trucks destroyed.
