Russian forces carried out an overnight attack in the Kyiv region on January 5, killing one person.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES), in the Obolon district, a four-story medical facility was hit at the second-floor level, where an active inpatient department was operating, Caliber.Az reports.
The resulting fire has been extinguished, and a body was discovered during the inspection of the premises. A total of 25 people were evacuated, and three others were injured.
Separately, the city of Slavutych was left without power due to the enemy attack. All critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power, and the city continues to receive heat and water, according to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Ukrainian Railways reported that some suburban trains departing from Slavutych are delayed by 40 minutes due to heightened security risks and damage to railway infrastructure.
