Russian shelling damages key energy facility in Chernihiv region

An important energy facility in Ukraine's Chernihiv region was severely damaged overnight following Russian shelling, authorities confirmed.

Emergency repair efforts are set to begin as soon as the security situation permits, though no specific timeline has been given for the restoration of power, Caliber.Az reports via Chernihivoblenergo JSC.  

As a result of the damage and subsequent power outage, Ukrainian Railways has temporarily altered the routes of suburban trains traveling towards the Neplyuevo station. Passengers are advised to check for updates on alternative travel arrangements.
