Two civilians were killed and three others injured following a wave of Russian shelling in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, according to Ukrainian authorities.
The National Police of Ukraine reported that on April 26, Russian forces carried out 1,033 strikes along the front line and in residential areas across the region.
The city of Kramatorsk was among the hardest hit, sustaining nine separate attacks. Authorities said two of those strikes involved KAB-500 guided aerial bombs. The bombardment killed two civilians and left another person injured.
Additional casualties were reported elsewhere in the region. One person was wounded in Druzhkivka, while another civilian was injured in the village of Kopani in Pokrovsk district after an FPV drone strike.
