Russian strike hits church building in southeastern Ukraine, killing one

A Russian attack has damaged civilian infrastructure in Volnyansk, in southeastern Ukraine, leaving at least one person dead and another injured, according to regional authorities.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said the strike destroyed a shopping pavilion and a private residence, while also damaging a church building, Caliber.Az reports.

“There are casualties and damage: the Russians attacked Volnyansk,” Fedorov said, adding that preliminary information indicates one fatality and one person wounded.
