Russian strikes hit Kharkiv region, one killed, several injured Photo
Russian forces carried out a wave of strikes across Ukraine’s Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, targeting the regional capital and at least 13 surrounding settlements with drones and guided aerial bombs, Oleg Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration said.
The administration head said that one man was killed in the village of Metalivka in the Starosaltivska community, while several civilians were injured in separate attacks, Caliber.Az reports.
“A man was killed in the village of Metalivka in the Starosaltivska community; his details are being verified. In Kharkiv, a 68-year-old and an 89-year-old woman suffered acute stress reactions; in Chuhuiv, a 52-year-old and a 75-year-old woman were injured,” Syniehubov said in a post on Telegram.
The strikes caused widespread damage to civilian infrastructure. In the city of Kharkiv, an apartment block, four vehicles and a civilian enterprise were damaged.
Elsewhere in the region, damage was reported to an agricultural enterprise, an educational institution, railway infrastructure, private homes, power lines, a nursery, and multiple outbuildings and vehicles across several districts, including Bohodukhiv, Izium, Lozova and Chuhuiv.
