Russian strikes injure 26 across Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region PHOTO / VIDEO
At least 26 people were injured after Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region using missiles, drones, artillery and guided aerial bombs, regional authorities said.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, said the attacks targeted six districts across the region, damaging residential buildings, businesses and infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports.
In the city of Dnipro, strikes damaged apartment blocks, private homes, a religious institution, a university, commercial facilities and vehicles. Authorities reported 18 injuries, including a 2-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy.
In the nearby Dniprovskyi district, attacks sparked a fire and damaged homes and cars. Two women were injured, including a 76-year-old woman who was hospitalised.
Russian strikes also hit the Samarivskyi district, where a house, an administrative building and a vehicle caught fire. An agricultural enterprise sustained damage as well.
In Kryvyi Rih, authorities said attacks damaged infrastructure and a business facility. Two men, aged 36 and 40, were hospitalized in moderate condition.
In the Kamenskyi district, homes and vehicles were damaged. A 74-year-old injured woman received outpatient treatment.
In the Synelnykivskyi district, strikes damaged residential buildings, while a 65-year-old man was hospitalised in moderate condition.
The Nikopol area also came under attack, affecting the Krasnogrigoryevka, Mirivka, Pokrovka and Marganets communities. Officials said a gas station was damaged and two women, aged 32 and 46, were injured and treated as outpatients.
Ukrainian authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the overnight attacks.
