Russian troops switching to defensive
Russian troops are switching to the defensive as they are henceforth unable to move forward.
The statement was made by the Advisor to Ukraine’s President Oleksiy Arestovich on the air of Feygin LIVE, according to Korrespondent.net.
He noted that the Russian troops are hiding in the hills, looking for "secluded places" and trying to defend themselves.
Arestovich said that the only place where the Russian troops do not go on the defensive is the Izyum and Lugansk directions.
On the morning of May 18, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported that Russian troops were exerting an influence by firing across the entire line of the clashes in the Donetsk operational area and the Slavic direction. In addition, they were reportedly taking measures to foster the offensive grouping, and also keep inflicting missile strikes on military and civilian targets throughout the territory of Ukraine.
