Russian, Turkish FMs discuss regional issues in New York

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in New York.
Citing the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service, Caliber.Az reports that the two sides discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, and advocated coordinating steps to mutually solve "acute regional problems", including in Gaza, Syria, the entire Middle East, the Black Sea region and Transcaucasia.
The importance of continuing to work together to maintain and develop mutually beneficial relations was stressed.
The diplomats said in a statement after the talks that "progress in the implementation of key Russian-Turkish projects in the energy sector was touched upon".
