Russian, UAE presidents discuss Middle East tensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, held a phone call to discuss escalating tensions in the Middle East, the state news agency WAM reports.

The leaders called for an immediate halt to military escalation to prevent the conflict from spreading in the region, emphasising the importance of dialogue and political solutions to resolve various issues.

They also addressed Iranian strikes targeting the UAE and other Arab countries, stressing the need to maintain control of the situation and prevent further destabilisation.
