Samarkand Declaration adopted at SCO summit PHOTO

The Samarkand Declaration has been adopted following a summit of the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states.

The Samarkand Declaration is the main document of the current summit. It reflects the consolidated positions of the SCO member states on the further development of the organisation and topical issues on the global and regional agenda, Sputnik-Uzbekistan reports.

It also outlines joint approaches to further improving practical cooperation, ensuring regional stability, security and sustainable economic development, strengthening transport connectivity, as well as deepening cultural dialogue, the report adds.
