Second day of Ukraine settlement talks underway in Geneva VIDEO

The second day of US-mediated, closed-door talks between Russian and Ukrainian officials over a settlement in Ukraine is underway in Geneva, Switzerland, TASS reports, citing a source.

“Meetings behind closed doors have started,” the source said.

The talks are taking place at the InterContinental Hotel. On February 17, the first day of consultations lasted six hours, conducted in the formats Russia–US, Russia–Ukraine, and Russia–US–Ukraine. 

The Russian delegation is led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky, while Ukraine is represented by Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Rustem Umerov.

The Russian delegation has arrived at the venue for the ongoing discussions.
