The Prosecutor General's Office of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" ("DNR") has completed the investigation of a criminal case against British citizen Aiden Aslin, who is accused of participating as a mercenary in hostilities as part of the Ukrainian armed formations.
The report came in a message posted on June 5 in the Telegram channel of the “supervisory authority”. According to the legislation of the self-proclaimed "republic", the Briton will be subjected to the death penalty, according to TASS.
“The Investigation Department has completed the investigation of a criminal case against a foreign mercenary - British citizen Aiden Daniel John Mark Aslin. The criminal case was sent to court for consideration on the merits. The first hearing will take place soon. Taking into account wartime, based on the provisions of the current criminal law, based on the results of the trial, the mercenary may be subject to an exceptional measure of punishment - the death penalty,” the message reads.
