Series of explosions rocks Russia's Ryazan and nearby towns overnight VIDEO

A series of explosions occurred during the night of October 23 in the Russian city of Ryazan.

According to the Telegram channel Shot, at least 10 blasts were reported, audible both in Ryazan and in the nearby town of Skopin.

The channel claimed that Russian air defences engaged the incoming aerial targets, and as a result, there were reportedly no direct hits or damage.

Reports also indicated that the military airfield at Dyagilevo — home to Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL bombers, and an IL-78 refuelling tanker — may have been targeted. Adjacent to the airfield is the 360th Aircraft Repair Plant.

Ryazan regional Governor Pavel Malkov stated that debris from drones caused a fire at one enterprise within the region. Preliminary information suggests there were no casualties, while the extent of material damage is still being assessed.
