Shelling in Ukraine' Kherson region injures two police officers, civilian
Russian forces continued attacks across Kherson Oblast over the past day, targeting populated areas in both the Kherson and Beryslav districts using artillery, mortars, multiple-launch rocket systems and drones, according to the National Police of Ukraine.
Authorities reported damage to 47 civilian and infrastructure sites. The destruction included three apartment blocks, 18 private homes, a hospital, a village council building, a filling station, as well as gas and water supply networks. Public transport buses, private vehicles, a retail shop and a municipal enterprise were also affected.
In the Korabelnyi district of Kherson, a 54-year-old woman was wounded during an artillery strike. She was hospitalised with blast trauma, concussion and shrapnel injuries to her face.
Separate shelling in the city’s Central district injured two police officers when their vehicle came under attack. A 37-year-old officer sustained shrapnel wounds and a concussion, while his 26-year-old colleague suffered a concussion. The police vehicle was damaged in the strike.
