Slovak experts to develop “smart village” in Azerbaijan's Bash Garvand
Azerbaijan is set to launch an innovative “smart village” project in Bash Garvand, one of the largest villages in Aghdam district, with the assistance of Slovak specialists.
The initiative aims to transform the village through advanced technologies and sustainable practices, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Spokesperson for the Rehabilitation, Construction and Management Service in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, Leyla Sarabi, revealed that the project is currently in the demolition and vertical planning phase.
The “smart village” will cover a total area of 476 hectares, with the initial phase focusing on constructing 851 homes across 275 hectares. The development will feature state-of-the-art smart technologies, including systems for waste management, green energy, and sewage treatment.
Sarabi emphasized that the project will incorporate cost-effective technologies and natural building materials. Future plans may also include additional modern innovations utilizing alternative energy sources.
The initiative, funded by the Azerbaijani government, reflects a commitment to integrating sustainable solutions and enhancing living standards in the region.
