Slovak PM proposes direct Russia–Ukraine communication line

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico intends to propose the establishment of a direct communication line between Russia and Ukraine at the upcoming European Council meeting on June 18.

He is expected to put forward the idea during the session, arguing that the European Union is not capable of playing a decisive role in peace negotiations over Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Slovak media.

The proposal aims to facilitate direct contact between Moscow and Kyiv in an effort to improve communication between the two sides.
