Slovakia to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Kyiv

Slovakia Defence Minister Jaroslav Nagy has said that Bratislava will transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to the Ukrainian army.

He spoke about this in an interview with a local TV channel, RT reports.

The Defence Minister noted that the planes would be removed from service in Slovakia by the end of August. Their exact number is not known.

According to him, after the transfer of the MiG-29 to Ukraine, the country's airspace will be protected by Polish and Czech aircraft.
