16 November 2025 10:00
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that the South Caucasus is already close to achieving sustainable peace.
In an interview with A-Haber, Fidan said the United States is closely following developments in the South Caucasus, per Caliber.Az.
The minister also reminded the initialling of the text of a peace agreement between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Washington, with the participation of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Post-initialling, Fidan has held talks with U.S. officials (e.g., Tom Barrack) and welcomed EU/U.S. mediation. The deal could facilitate Türkiye-Armenia border normalisation and regional forums like the April 2026 Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
