Spanish PM highlights growing threat of fascism, far-right extremism in Europe
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has stated that fascism is now the third political force in Europe.
"Autocratic regimes are advancing. Fascism, which we thought we had left behind, is now the third political force in Europe," Sánchez said during a speech at an event in Madrid, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"Far-right international movements, led by the wealthiest person on the planet, are openly attacking our institutions. They are openly calling for support of Nazi heirs in Germany during the upcoming elections in the eurozone's largest economy," he added.
In an article previously published in Welt am Sonntag, US entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed the view that Germany is at a critical juncture, with its future hanging in the balance between economic and cultural collapse.
"As someone who has made significant investments in Germany's industrial and technological landscape, I believe I have the right to openly speak about its political direction," the businessman stated.
Musk further noted that, in his opinion, Alternative for Germany (AfD) represents the last spark of hope for Germany.
