Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf visits Ukraine

Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf has arrived in Lviv as part of an official visit aimed at highlighting the humanitarian impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine. He is accompanied by Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Maria Malmer Stenergård.

During the visit, the Swedish delegation is scheduled to tour schools and hospitals in Lviv to better understand how Ukrainian institutions continue to operate under the strain of conflict, Caliber.Az reports via Swedish media. 

King Carl XVI Gustaf has already held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Following their meeting, the two leaders paid tribute to Ukrainian soldiers who lost their lives in the war, laying flowers at a military gravesite in a solemn ceremony.
