Sweden to deliver Tridon Mk2 air defence systems to Ukraine
06 April 2026 16:22
Sweden will provide Ukraine with mobile Tridon Mk2 air defence systems to strengthen protection against attack drones, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence announced on Telegram.
The Swedish government will allocate €400 million for the purchase of the systems, nearly a third of February’s military aid package to Ukraine.
Introduced in 2024, the Tridon Mk2 features a 40mm Bofors 40 Mk4 autocannon, capable of engaging targets up to 12 km away at a rate of up to 300 rounds per minute. One of its key advantages is the relatively low cost per shot.
