Swiss Confederation President arrives in Ukraine
Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, has arrived in Ukraine to participate in an international summit on food security and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The focus is on the impact of Russia’s war of aggression on global food security and Switzerland's long-term support for Ukraine," Berset said on X (Twitter), according to Ukrainska Pravda.

Earlier, Berset expressed his belief that joining the EU sanctions against Russia does not contradict its neutrality policy, unlike the situation if the country helped to evade them.
Berset reiterated that Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine violated all principles of international law under the UN Charter.
Switzerland also called for the establishment of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
Background: Last year, the Swiss Federal Council clarified that the country's neutrality is compatible with the European Union's sanctions against Russia but not with NATO membership.
