Syria condemns deadly Israeli tank strike on civilian vehicle
Syria has strongly condemned an attack by Israeli forces that targeted a civilian car with a tank shell in the village of al-Zaaroura in the Quneitra countryside, killing one civilian.
In a statement issued on April 3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described the strike as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, saying it reflects ongoing aggressive policies that endanger civilian lives and breach international norms and conventions, Caliber.Az reports per Syrian media.
The ministry urged the international community to fulfill its legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take immediate action to halt what it called repeated violations.
Earlier that day, an Israeli tank fired on a civilian vehicle west of al-Zaaroura village in the al-Rafid area of southern Quneitra, killing a young man inside the car.
