Syria foils new attempt to smuggle weapons into Lebanon VIDEO

Syria's General Authority of Ports and Customs has announced that it has thwarted another attempt to smuggle weapons across the Syrian-Lebanese border.

In a post on Facebook, the agency said 226 RGC-type explosive devices concealed in hidden compartments of a vehicle were discovered and seized at the border, Caliber.Az reports.

The shipment was allegedly intended to be smuggled into Lebanon.

The incident marks the second such case in the past week.

On July 16, Syria's Interior Ministry said it had intercepted a shipment of weapons and missiles that authorities claimed was destined for Lebanon's Hezbollah movement.
