Syria, Germany establish joint committee to boost bilateral cooperation

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani held talks with a German delegation led by State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Office Géza Andreas von Geyr, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on July 16.

Following the meeting, the two sides signed an agreement establishing a Syrian-German Joint Committee between the foreign ministries of the two countries, Caliber.Az reports.

According to the ministry, the new mechanism is expected to provide a framework for regular coordination and to support the further development of bilateral cooperation.
