Syria, Lebanon discuss expanding economic cooperation

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani held a telephone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation across several key sectors.

According to a statement from the Syrian Foreign Ministry, the talks focused on enhancing coordination in the fields of economy, trade and energy amid ongoing efforts by both countries to deepen regional cooperation.

The two officials also reviewed progress towards establishing a joint coordination committee.
