On October 28, Syria’s Interior Ministry said it had confiscated around 11 million Captagon tablets that had been smuggled into the country from neighbouring Lebanon.
The ministry reported that an anti-narcotics unit in Homs province intercepted a vehicle coming from Lebanon carrying a large quantity of the amphetamine-type stimulant, Caliber.Az reports, citing Syrian media.
Authorities said investigations were underway to identify those involved and to dismantle the criminal networks connected to the operation.
