Syrian airspace partially closed to ensure flight safety
Syria’s Civil Aviation Authority has announced the temporary closure of southern air corridors within the country’s airspace from 12:00 Damascus time on February 28 for a period of 12 hours, according to SANA.
The decision was taken amid the ongoing escalation between Iran and Israel.
The authority stated that the measure is intended to ensure maximum flight safety. During the restriction period, air traffic will be redirected through alternative approved routes in order to maintain the uninterrupted operation of the aviation system.
The administration emphasised that it is continuously monitoring developments and will announce any further changes if necessary, reaffirming its commitment to international civil aviation safety standards.
