Syrian army base in Al-Hasakah targeted by rocket fire from Iraq

The Syrian Arab Army has reported that one of its military bases near the town of Al-Yaarubiyah in Al-Hasakah countryside came under rocket attack.

Thus, five rockets were fired from the vicinity of Tal Al-Hawa village, located some 20 kilometres inside Iraqi territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing Syrian media.

The statement added that Syrian authorities have coordinated with Iraqi officials, who confirmed that the Iraqi army has launched a search operation to identify those responsible.

The Operations Directorate stressed that the Syrian Arab Army remains on full alert and is prepared to defend Syrian territory against any aggression.
