Syrian forces detain ISIS-affiliated cell in coordinated raid

Syrian Interior Ministry forces, in coordination with the General Intelligence Service, have arrested an ISIS-affiliated cell during a joint security operation east of Aleppo, an Interior Ministry source told SANA.

Weapons, ammunition magazines, and rounds were seized from the group, which were reportedly intended for use in planned terrorist attacks, the source said.

The Interior Ministry source added that the cell had been involved in several attacks, including assassinations and direct targeting of security and military personnel.

The operation is part of ongoing security efforts to dismantle extremist networks operating in the region.
