Syrian Arab Army forces are moving toward the defensive line east of Aleppo after the arrival of new armed groups affiliated with the PKK terrorist organization, remnants of the ousted regime and the Syrian Democratic Force (SDF), in the areas of Maskanah and Deir Hafir.
The operational command of the Syrian Arab Army said that the Army is closely monitoring the situation on the ground and warned that the deployment of these terrorist groups constitutes a “dangerous escalation,” Caliber.Az reports via Syria media.
The statement emphasises that any military action by these groups “will be met with a strong response” and adds that the army “will not stand idle in the face of this serious escalation.”
On January 11, the command reported that the SDF was moving armed groups and medium- and long-range weapons to the front in Deir Hafir, east of Aleppo. It added that army forces have been placed on full combat alert to prepare for all possible scenarios.
