Syrian President reshuffles administration in major political move

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has issued a series of decrees appointing new ministers and provincial governors as part of a broader administrative reshuffle.

Under the decisions, Khaled Fawaz Zaarour was appointed Minister of Information, while Basel Hafez Al-Suwaidan became Minister of Agriculture, according to foreign media.

New governors were also named for several provinces:
▪️ Quneitra — Ghassan Al-Sayyed Ahmed
▪️ Homs — Marhef Khaled Al-Nassan
▪️ Latakia — Ahmed Ali Mustafa
▪️ Deir ez-Zor — Ziad al-Ayesh

In addition, Abdulrahman Badr al-Deen al-A'ma has been appointed Secretary-General of the Presidential Administration, replacing Maher, the president’s brother, who previously held the post.
