Tajikistan makes historic debut at New York Fashion Week

For the first time in history, a Tajik brand is taking the stage at New York Fashion Week. Nafisa Imranova, founder of the fashion label ZHIWJ, is presenting her latest collection, marking a major milestone for both her career and the country’s fashion industry.

Imranova, a graduate of the Design Academy in Singapore, has already showcased her work at prestigious events, including a private Jimmy Choo show in Kuala Lumpur and an exhibition at the Louvre in Paris. Her participation in New York Fashion Week, one of the world’s four major fashion weeks alongside Paris, Milan, and London, gives her brand unprecedented international exposure.

The event is not only a personal achievement for Imranova but also a cultural milestone for Tajikistan. Sponsored by AN Group and supported by the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, the show highlights the country’s growing presence in the global fashion scene and underscores its cultural potential on the international stage.
