Tashkent introduces “traffic light” system to monitor Uzbekistan – 2030 strategy
Uzbekistan is set to strengthen oversight of its long-term development strategy, “Uzbekistan – 2030,” by introducing a digital monitoring system that uses a three-level “traffic light” approach to track progress.
Under the new system, each indicator will be assigned a status: green for fully achieved targets, yellow for delayed goals requiring adjustments, and red for serious failures or unmet objectives. The platform will provide real-time data from state statistics, electronic registries, independent research, and public surveys, Caliber.Az reports via Uzbek media.
The Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms will coordinate the process, using a digital control panel to consolidate information from multiple sources, enabling a more objective and comprehensive assessment of reforms.
Bahodir Rakhmatov, the Agency’s director, said the updated strategy has been revised to remove vague statements and unachievable slogans, focusing instead on concrete, measurable indicators to track progress across all sectors.
