Tehran rejects reports of April 27 talks with US
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran has no plans to hold a new round of talks with the United States, dismissing earlier reports that a meeting could take place on April 27.
In a statement published on the social media platform X, cited by Caliber.Az, Baqaei made clear that no meetings between Iranian and US representatives are currently scheduled.
We arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan, for an official visit. FM Araghchi will be meeting with Pakistani high-level officials in concert with their ongoing mediation & good offices for ending American imposed war of aggression and the restitution of peace in our region.

He said Tehran is instead focusing its diplomatic efforts on engagement with Pakistan. As part of this effort, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Islamabad on an official visit, where he is expected to hold talks with the country’s leadership.
According to Baqaei, Iran hopes that Pakistan’s mediation can help halt what Tehran describes as a US-imposed escalation and contribute to restoring stability in the region.
He reiterated that Tehran’s position will be conveyed to the Pakistani side, stressing again that no direct talks with the United States are currently planned.
