Tehran threatens “fifth column” over photos from attack sites
Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has warned that the distribution of photos or videos from locations struck during recent attacks will be strictly punished if they are shared through what authorities described as “terrorist satellite networks, social media, or other hostile media outlets.”
According to the ministry, cited by Tasnim, individuals who transmit such materials may be treated as members of a “fifth column of the Zionist regime and its eyes” operating inside Iran.
Officials said that those involved could face severe penalties under Article 4 of the country’s “Law on Tougher Punishments and Cooperation with the Zionist Regime and Hostile Countries.”
The ministry also called on citizens to report suspected cases through the official portal of its press centre using Persian-language channels on the messaging platforms Eita, Bale, and Rubika, saying such cooperation would help protect national security.
