Three drones intercepted near US base in northeastern Syria
01 April 2026 11:12
A US air defence system intercepted three drones approaching the Kasrak base on Tuesday, March 31, preventing them from reaching the facility, according to a security source.
The source told Shafaq News that the C-RAM system deployed at the base successfully shot down the drones in the vicinity of the installation. No casualties or material damage were reported.
“The aircraft were coming from the direction of the Iraqi border, indicating their cross-border origin,” the source said, suggesting the drones had entered Syrian airspace from Iraq.
