Three Indonesian UN peacekeepers wounded in Lebanon blast
04 April 2026 11:47
Three United Nations peacekeepers wounded in an incident near the town of Adaiseh in southern Lebanon on Friday, April 3, have been identified as Indonesian nationals, according to the UNIFIL information centre in Jakarta.
Al Jazeera, citing the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, reported that two of the injured peacekeepers are in serious condition. The cause of the explosion that led to their injuries has not yet been determined.
The incident follows a recent deadly attack in southern Lebanon in which three Indonesian peacekeepers were killed just days earlier.
Previously, the Israel Defence Forces accused Hezbollah of carrying out attacks on UNIFIL personnel.
