Three killed, 19 injured in strike on food plant in Ukraine’s Pavlohrad

A Russian strike on a food industry facility in Pavlohrad, Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, has killed three people and injured 19 others, including a two-year-old girl, regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha has said.

Sharing a post on Telegram, he noted that the attack sparked a fire at the enterprise, Caliber.Az reports.

"All of the injured are in hospital. Doctors are conducting examinations and providing the necessary medical assistance," he wrote.

Earlier, Ukraine also launched a major missile-drone assault on Russia.

Russia’s air defence forces said they neutralised 223 fixed-wing drones between 20:00 Moscow time (21:00 Baku time) on July 22, and 08:00 Moscow time (09:00 Baku time) on July 23.

According to the ministry, the drones were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Orenburg, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Tver, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as the Moscow region, Tatarstan and the Sea of Azov.
