Japanese authorities are analysing ballistic missile launches carried out by North Korea and coordinating closely with allies, including the United States and South Korea, officials said.
An emergency press conference on the issue was held at the National Defence Academy of Japan, according to a statement posted on the social media platform X by Shinjiro Koizumi, cited by Caliber.Az.
The statement said the Ministry of Defence of Japan is conducting a detailed analysis and gathering additional information about the type and trajectory of the missile involved.

Officials added that Japan is maintaining close coordination with its allies, including the United States and South Korea.
Authorities said they remain on high alert and are closely monitoring the situation for any additional launches. The government also urged citizens to remain calm, emphasising that no threat to the population or Japan’s territorial waters has been recorded so far.
Earlier, the office of the Japanese prime minister reported a missile launch from North Korean territory. The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea later confirmed that a total of 10 missiles had been launched.
