Traffic accident in Qatar leaves 11-year-old Uzbek citizen dead

An 11-year-old Uzbek citizen was killed in a traffic accident in Qatar.

The child, M.A., born in 2015 and a native of Tashkent, was visiting Qatar at the time of the accident, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.

The crash, caused by the driver losing control of the vehicle, resulted in severe head injuries, and the child died at the scene.

Following the incident, Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission coordinated with the relevant Qatari authorities and provided practical assistance in arranging the funeral.

Given the regional situation and existing transport and logistical restrictions, the body was buried in Qatar with the family’s consent, in accordance with national and religious traditions.
