Training aircraft of Japan’s Self-Defence Forces crashes near Inuyama
On May 14, 2025, a training aircraft operated by Japan’s Self-Defence Forces is believed to have crashed in the vicinity of Inuyama City, located in Aichi Prefecture.
The incident was first reported by NHK, citing information from the Ministry of Defence, which indicated that the aircraft had disappeared from radar screens.

Local fire officials confirmed that they received reports at approximately 3:00 p.m. local time, suggesting that an aircraft may have gone down into a nearby pond.
According to initial information, there were two individuals aboard the aircraft at the time of the incident.
