Transport chaos grips Ukraine’s capital amid air raid alert PHOTO

Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, has been hit by major transport disruptions since morning due to an air raid alert.

Officials said public transport has come to a standstill, forcing people to walk from the left bank to the right bank to get to work, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi demanded an immediate fix for the transport collapse and instructed the authorities to implement changes to the metro's operation during air raid alerts.

According to local authorities, Russia’s latest attack with drones and missiles caused the deaths of two people and injured at least 10.

The main targets of the overnight attack were Kyiv and the southern Odesa region. Ukrainian forces shot down and suppressed two ballistic missiles, 31 cruise missiles and 142 drones.

The attack comes after a pause over the weekend, as US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff arrived in Kyiv for their first official visit in a renewed push to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
