Truck collides with passenger train in Russia's Chelyabinsk PHOTO

Russian transport prosecutors are investigating a collision between a truck and a passenger train in the Chelyabinsk region.

According to the Ural Transport Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred on November 18 at around 12:30 local time (11:30 Baku time) on the 214-kilometre stretch between Esaulskaya and Ishalino. The suburban train, numbered 7006, struck the truck at the crossing.

“The circumstances of the incident are being established,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement posted on Telegram.

The Chelyabinsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office has launched an inquiry into compliance with transport safety and railway operation regulations.
