Before engaging with Putin, President Trump also held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The call, which was expected to start at 17:00 (GMT+3), is still in progress, an unnamed American official said. The discussions between the two leaders were anticipated to focus on ongoing tensions and the broader geopolitical landscape, including the conflict in Ukraine. The details of the Zelenskyy-Trump call were not fully disclosed.
