Trump says Iran talks going “very well”
US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are going “very well,” while declining to provide further details when questioned by reporters after disembarking Air Force One on the evening of May 3, Iran International reports.
His brief remarks come as diplomatic exchanges between Washington and Tehran continue, with both sides reviewing proposals amid unresolved differences.
Earlier the same day, Trump announced a new maritime initiative aimed at addressing disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. The operation, dubbed “Project Freedom,” is intended to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels and their crews through the critical shipping route.
According to the announcement, the initiative will focus on assisting stranded ships in the area, which has been affected by ongoing regional tensions and instability in maritime traffic.
