Trump says talks with Zelenskyy "very good"
US President Donald Trump described his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the World Economic Forum in Davos as “very good,” emphasising that both sides share a common goal—ending the war in Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters after the hour-long meeting, Trump stated, “Everybody wants to have the war end,” but did not provide furtehr comment, Caliebr.Az reports via foreign media.
He's asked whether there's a chance of getting a deal today, and says "we'll have to see what happens".
The US president also confirmed that the United States would be meeting with Russian officials the following day, adding that a discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin was planned for tomorrow and not today, as reported earlier.
Trump also told journalists that they did not discuss the issue of Zelenskyy’s joining the Board of Peace.
The head of the Ukrainian state earlier emphasised that he would go to the World Economic Forum if documents on Ukraine’s recovery and security guarantees for Ukraine were ready. According to him, no one needs empty politics.
